SVN is an online portal
connecting high school students
to nonprofit organizations
seeking volunteers. Our
extensive database will enable
high school students to easily
find community service
opportunities online using
sophisticated search techniques
that will match student
interests with nonprofit
organizations who need help.
Furthermore, SVN takes an active
role in ensuring the success of
student volunteers and promoting
student volunteerism in the
community.
Three Denver high school juniors
founded SVN when it was accepted
as a project of the Colorado
Nonprofit Development Center.
The Student Volunteer Network is
the first student-led project
ever accepted by the Center,
which is currently supervising
fifty projects. Since its
founding, SVN has firmly
established its administrative
and financial resources,
developed the technology and the
web site, and created a
partnership with Metro
Volunteers.
Posting opportunities on our
site is an innovative way for
organizations to save time and
effort while finding students to
fill volunteer positions. Our
searchable database allows
students to find opportunities
that they are interested in,
which brings excited and
dedicated student volunteers to
each organization. Through the
Student Volunteer Network,
organizations like yours can
increase the efficiency of
finding volunteers while
creating meaningful
relationships with volunteers.
Furthermore, all services
provided by SVN are completely
free of charge, allowing all
organizations to take advantage
of our resources.
